Finally got it fired and Aura applied around the inner rim and outer band as well as the inner of the toggle. I put a rock crystal in it for the photos, but I have a black tourmaline rutilated quartz sphere coming from China.. hope it fits!

This one started life as a wood clay core.

I then covered the two sides with textured clay and applied a rim to the outer edge.

Then I added the inner ring and the “points” were built up with slip.. inspiration courtesy of the Visby lenses.

I’ve got the bezels applied to the edge, on little “platforms”.

Ring 1

I fired this one in my second lesson, the one about color pencils and Aura 22.

I’m going to apply Aura to the rims, set coloured stones in the bezels, and LOS the peacock stamp imprint.  Wish me luck!

I’ve added the aura and one stone (a sapphire).  Just waiting for the others to come in the mail!

Pendant 2

First pendant I ever made! In a class run by the fabulous Roz Eberhard-Swan of The Eclectic Studio.

This one still needs some gold on it and some enamel in the middle.
