Medieval Pendant finished
I took my pendant along to Hadar's course (must write a post on that soon..) and got my pendant fired while I was there. I'm thinking that I didn't put enough vent holes in it, as part of the side blew out. :( Anyway, I patched it here at home (now we are in mid semester break - I have a little bit of time!) and torched fired it.. the patching worked really well, and the piece looked good. Some aura 22 and LOS, and a few orissa garnets.. and Voila!
Kilimanjaro
Summit of Africa 5895m
You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know. Rene Daumal
Pendant 1
This the second piece I created in the class I took earlier on in the year. I then applied Aura 22 to the boundary of the pendant for the gold. I’ve bought some howlite beads to string this pendant on.. but haven’t had time yet! At least the pendant part is finished. (Unless I decide to enamel the inside of it of course…)
Welcome to Sacerdotesse
Welcome to my home on the web for my newest passion - precious metal clay jewelry.
This site serves two purposes, firstly as a place for folks to read along, and for me to share my online “finds”, and secondly, as a kind of “virtual workbench” and notebook for me to keep all of my online bits and bobs organized and in the one place.
I’ve broken the site up into a number of sections:
Blog
My blog is my virtual thinktank.. a virtual stream of consciousness where I record all of my day to day rantings, raving, experiments, trials, temptations and tantrums! It’s my hands on notebook of ideas and progress.
